The Victorian Simulation Alliance (VSA) invites organisations to partner with us to support the delivery of simulation education and resources for the health and communities sector.

The VSA is a significant organisation in Victoria supporting the development and implementation of simulation across the health and community services sector. We provide our subscribers with an active and supported community of practice through the provision of resources, education and training. As an organisation, we focus on our 4 key goals of people, professional practice, profile and sustainability and we pride ourselves on providing a forum for collaboration and networking for those engaged in our simulation community.

Introducing SimChart from Elsevier

SimChart is an Australian Electronic Medical Record (EMR) teaching & learning platform, designed to expose students to the principles of digital charting in an interactive environment. With use cases applicable to the classroom, home, simulation lab and clinical placement environments, SimChart is a flexible, scalable, and cost effective EMR which empowers students to build charting skills.

As a teaching tool, SimChart includes case studies where students will apply charting skills within the context of a patient scenario. Health Education Australia Limited (HEAL)

At HEAL, we provide a range of programs for students, professionals and healthcare organisations.

Some of these are aimed at helping international graduates secure a job in the Australian healthcare industry. Others – like our Simulated Participant program – are intended to assist in the delivery of quality health education across all health professions.

Simulated Participants (SPs) are an all-important education resource in healthcare and play a crucial role in helping health professional students develop their communication and diagnostic skills – particularly in exams. With our dedicated SP program, healthcare educators can source and engage with trained simulated participants whenever they need to.

We recruit and train simulated participants according to different educational needs, introducing them to the role and preparing them to work in the health education environment.

Laerdal

Laerdal was established as a children's book publishing and toy company in 1940 with the mission of "creating children's joy". During the next years, 100 million of Laerdal's Tomte cars were sold in 100 countries. Laerdal's Anne dolls became popular throughout Europe.
