1. Moulage & Medical Terminology  (9am - 12noon) 

Course aims:

• Introduce concepts of fidelity and realism and the rationale for moulage
• Demonstrate some simple moulage techniques
• Discuss tips and tricks for moulage
• Introduce commonly used medical terms which may be unfamiliar to non-clinical staff

2. Manikin Considerations  (1pm - 4pm) 

Course aims:

• To discuss the types of manikins available
• Consider what equipment to use and when to use it
• Matching manikins with course objectives

Thursday, July 12th,

1. AV/IT Considerations in Simulation (9am - 12noon) 

Course aims:

• To cover the challenges and considerations in the use of audio visual and computer equipment in clinical simulation

2. NHET-Sim S3 module - Technology-based simulators and simulations (1pm - 4pm) 

• Audiovisual capture and considerations
• Working with mannequins from a technical perspective
• The fundamental principles of programming mannequins
• Networking various parts of the simulation systems
