Samantha Dix

Samantha Dix is the Director of Simulation and a senior lecturer at Monash University, Nursing & Midwifery (MNM).

Samantha has a keen interest in using evidence to improve simulation learning experiences and has a focus on using simulation to bridge the learning gap for health professions students that improves the provision of high-quality care for patients.

For the last 14 months, Samantha and a team of 18 nurse educators have travelled the state of Victoria assisting aged care staff to understand how to effectively use PPE to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. The Monash PPE Project is an education program that integrates the practical application of PPE during a face to face session with a purpose-designed Virtual Reality simulation used for ongoing competency-based development.
